Mount Surgery is a training practice, which means we help develop the GPs of the future. Our GP Trainees are fully qualified doctors who are now choosing to specialise in General Practice.
During your appointment with a GP Trainee, you may be asked for consent to have your consultation video-recorded. These recordings are reviewed later by the Trainee together with one of our approved Trainers (Dr Ryell or Dr Frost). The purpose of the video is not to assess you as a patient, but to focus on how the Trainee conducts the consultation. This is an important and nationally recommended part of GP training, supported by the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Your consent to video recording is always voluntary and very much appreciated.
