We are pleased to let you know that our practice is now using the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).
This means your prescriptions can now be sent electronically from the practice directly to your nominated pharmacy, making the process quicker and more convenient.
π Repeat Prescriptions β Whatβs Changed
If you have a nominated pharmacy, you no longer need to collect your repeat prescription from the practice.
Once your request has been processed by the practice, your prescription will be sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy. Please allow at least 2 working days for processing before contacting your pharmacy.
β οΈ No nominated pharmacy?
If you do not have a pharmacy nominated, your prescription will continue to be issued as a paper prescription for collection from the practice.
π Why this matters
Since moving to EPS, we have identified that some patients have a pharmacy nominated outside of the local area. This can lead to delays in receiving your medication.
β What you need to do
If your nominated pharmacy is no longer convenient or is outside the area, please update it by visiting your preferred local pharmacy.
Pharmacy staff can update your nomination quickly at the counter.
π Prefer paper prescriptions?
If you would prefer to continue collecting paper prescriptions from the practice, you can choose not to nominate a pharmacy.
π‘ Helpful tip
Choosing a local pharmacy will help ensure your prescriptions are processed efficiently and reduce delays.
If you are unsure which pharmacy is currently nominated, your pharmacy team will be happy to help.
Thank you for your support as we improve our prescribing services.
