If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help, use NHS 111 Wales or call 111.

The NHS 111 Wales symptom checker is for people aged 12 and over. Call 111 if you need help for anyone under 12.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

As the doctors time is at a premium, home visits are reserved for the following groups of patients:

  • Housebound
  • Terminally ill
  • Elderly/frail

Home visits are at the discretion of the doctor. Please phone the practice on 01639 502 792 before 10am. When the patient’s condition genuinely warrants a home visit, please provide us with as much detail as possible.

This information is vital for the doctors to prioritise their visits and allows urgent cases to be seen promptly. You may receive a phone call back from a doctor in order to assess the situation further.

Please try to come to the practice whenever possible, as facilities here are far better for examination and treatment. Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time it takes to do a home visit.

We must emphasize that a lack of transportation is not a valid reason for a home visit.
