Non-NHS work

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges.

Examples include the following:

  • Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
  • Insurance claim forms
  • Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
  • Private sick notes
  • Vaccination certificates

These services are only available outside of normal appointment times.

There is a charge for all non-NHS services. Please be prepared to pay at the time you receive the service. This is a list of the most used services only. Further information on other services can be given on request.

Certificates

  • Holiday cancellation – £30.00
  • Fitness to travel -£30.00
  • Private prescription – £10.00
  • Private certificate – £16.00
  • Letters – miscellaneous – £20.00

Examinations, reports and letters

  • Medical examination – £65.00
  • Citizens advice bureau – £70.00
  • Welfare rights – £70.00
  • Shotgun licensing – £40.00

Access to records under GDPR 2018

  • Computerised record only – free
  • Manual and / or computerised records – free

Driving

  • Elderly driver fitness medical – £30.00
  • Taxi / PCV / HGV / LGV medicals – £100.00

Travel and occupational immunisations

  • Hepatitis B (course of 3) – £120.00
  • Additional booster – £40.00
  • Malaria tablets (private prescription) – £10.00
  • Japanese Encephalitis (private prescription) – £10.00
  • Tick-borne Encephalitis (private prescription) – £10.00
  • Meningococcal ACWY (private prescription) – £10.00
  • Rabies (private prescription) – £10.00
